PocketMail - A NASA Success Story
At its inception in the mid-90s, PocketMail was a member of the NASA Ames Technology Commercialization Center in Silicon Valley.
PocketMail uses advanced space probe communications technology originally developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Working with NASA Ames, we adapted it for signal processing on Earth. Like space probes, PocketMail is designed to operate under the harshest of conditions, and in noisy environments. Also like space probes, reliability of transmission is key for us.
The same technology that enables communication with NASA's latest Mars rovers and deep space surveyors is at the core of the PocketMail service that allows our customers to send and receive e-mail from anywhere in the world. NASA still features us on their Web-site under Success stories.
