Day 67 brings us to 3274.1 miles and we have arrived in beautiful San Diego, Ca.

We finalized all phone interviews with LA Times reporter that hopes to pitch my story to a syndicated paper around USA. Still awaiting word on possibility...

Arriving in San Diego we are at the place I "call home" and are excited we can be here for the holidays with friends! My friend Melanie kept her promise and threw a birthday party for me Dec. 16th and we had a blast! They made me wear reindeer antlers that blinked when you touched a button and talked me into singing a Janice Joplin tune late in the evening! I never sing so that was a first!

Sunday friends took me out on a boat for the 'Lighted Boat Show Parade" on San Diego Bay and it was beyond incredible! The evening was warm and perfect for being out in a boat. Barbara Thurber who has been the President of the San Diego PKD Friend's Group was able to join me, which made it perfect! She is an incredible lady and I think she had as much fun as I did!

Visiting old friends and being in San Diego is exactly what I needed to lift my spirits. When the PKD Road Warriors stop their travels I plan to return to San Diego and call it home.

Since being back I have been able to enjoy a little of my favorite pastime -- hearing some great blues music. Many of my friends are musicians here and if you love blues this is the place to be!

Not to depress all of you freezing in the cold winter storms -- but the weather here has been in the 70s and picture perfect! I was sitting by the pool this weekend -- in December! Max is in heaven having dragged me around the park until he found all of his old "doggie buddies" and friends that "give him treats". You would think he forgot since we left last February but not Max! His very best buddy, Katia, came and dog sat with him so Mom could enjoy her birthday party -- he was the happiest doggie alive! Max the true RV dog and Mr. Social... Gotta love him!

Well, not a lot new to report right now except we are pitching the San Diego media this week so cross your fingers they will help us reach more PKD patients...

I will update you when there is more to report. This is a slow time for media so until I leave San Diego mid January may not get too much media. But, when we begin the big cross-country push we hope to get lots of it! Until then, I plan on resting up and enjoying my holidays. Hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season!
