Today I am to meet with Pocketmail {known as PocketScience} whom have sponsored the TM-20 device allowing me to even send this e-mail since I have no phone line in the RV. Every person that does not have a computer or a phone line needs their products! My hopes are they can help get some interest from the media so I won't miss the millions of the San Francisco Bay Area.

I woke to a severe storm which means I must drive that mountain in a storm. Having living in this area rain always causes mud slides and wrecks so anxiety came quickly. Hitting the highway I saw nothing but red tail lights but I knew a short cut. I carry a 350 lb. motorcyle on the back of my Nissan causing it to drive funny due to the extra weight. My radiator had been leaking so I had two things to worry about. Would I make it over the mountain? I took my time and pulled over for the commuters in a hurry and made the trip just fine. Pocketmail had asked that I bring Max, my dog, for photos. Stepping out of my truck in a business complex it was kind of fun to bring your dog to the meeting. Max was all smiles and excited he got to come in. He ran the halls and met everyone at Pocketmail loving every minute of it!

They advised me that they are going to add a link to their website to my drive-a-thon site and would put a photo of Max and I there too! Now anyone that goes to the popular PocketSciece site will see PKD and the Road Warriors! Thanks PocketScience! Discussions took place and they began action to send out a Press Release to the media. Now we just wait and see?

After the meeting -- now that mountain again and it was now foggy too, reducing visability! No such thing as a stress free drive for these PKD Road Warriors. I made it safely and went straight home to rest...but would not happen... It rained harder and got colder and colder. I went to make a hot drink and my power outlet was not working nor were my bedroom outlets? Spent next 1 hour trying to remedy it to no avail. I had to have my heating pad for pain so I pulled a power cord thru the window and all was well -- I went to sleep...in pain and weary but with new hope that with PocketScience's help my trip to this area to reach PKD patients would be successful.

My mind reeled with ideas on how to get the media to say yes? How can I make them see how important my mission is? I finally went to sleep with Max cuddled up near me providing his unconditional adoration he is so good at. Then we woke up and were faced with a major problem -- the RV had lost all power. The rains, cold and weather forcast complicated my dilemma because now I had no heat at all! I ran to the phone and called Coachmen service in Indiana and they jumped to action! To our dismay the RV repair facilities were booked and my health was so poor from the lack of rest & my pain so severe I knew I could not break down the RV in a cold rainy storm to even get to service. Coachmen was there! Calls were made to a mobile repair man and they convinced him I needed help. He cancelled all his appointments and ran to my rescue within a couple of hous and Max and I were cozy and warm by that evening before the weather would get even worse! Thanks Coachmen service!

The wet weather had created a problem with the grounding system that was easily remedied -- just needed expert to fix it. We would now be OK.

I should have been able to sleep but had one other problem, I had spent almost $400 in gas to get to California but could not make contact with my sponsor. I wasn't sure if something had happened to him or if he had changed his mind. Now I worried that all I was enduring on the PKD Road Warriors Trip was in vain? After all, how can I travel the USA if I were to lose my key sponsor? I told God Thursday night that I could take no more! I was in severe pain from all the stress and could barely walk my dog! More to follow.
